In what was Lincoln Park -- Broadway to Ocean, Pacific to Cedar -- were many activities for the aged of Long Beach: shuffleboard, croquet, checkers, or just spectating, and fishing off Belmont Pier (the poles were light-weight and a good time was had by all even if nothing much was caught but smelt).
