Title
Hodgson-Greene-Haldiman Shipyard. Wooden hull of a large ocean-going tugboat designed by U.S. Army Transportation Corps. It held a 1200 horsepower diesel engine to tow wooden or concrete barges across the Pacific. Steel shortage was a price consideration in the design as well as in that of the barges.
