Open-air "Farmers' Market". Found around the perimeter streets of Lincoln Park in the center of this downtown area, Pacific Ave. to Cedar, Ocean Blvd. to Broadway. Market days were Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A "Market Master" was present to settle disputes between customers and "farmers", from prices to stall ownership. Fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, nut butter, eggs, fresh-dressed poultry, rabbits, and home-baked goods were all sold at "below store prices".
